Take cubed-steak and dip it in a mixture of buttermilk and egg andthen dip it in some flour and fry in a pan of grease. We call it country-fried steak. Add some mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, And your choice of a bean and you have a wonderful, tasty, filling and affordable meal!!!!
My favorite family meal is lasagna. Pizza can be inexpensive, easy and fun for the whole family. Kids and even adults love to make it. Chicken wings, stuffed peppers, meatloaf and stir fry are all easy and inexpensive.

You can make home made hamburger helper. Buy enough ground turkey or chicken to feed the entire family, green pepper, tomato sauce, onions, onion powder, garlic powder, basil, oregano and your favorite pasta. I’d go for shells or bow ties since you have kids. This will make the dinner interesting and fun for them. Brown the ground turkey, boil the pasta to your liking and combine all of the ingredients in one pot. Tomatoe sauce and all. Don’t forget the pasta. And your food is done. Very inexpensive tastes good and because you used ground turkey or chicken it’s very lean. You can also make corn on the cob and salad as your sides. Oh yeah if you like garlic bread. Enjoy

my mom made tator tot and beanie weenie casserole a LOT when i was growing up. first do a thin layer of veggie oil on the bottom of a casserole dish, then a layer of frozen tator tots, then a layer of cheese, then a layer of rice, then a layer of pork n beans. last layer should be a layer of cheese, and when its golden brown and melted is how you know the whole casserole is done. sounds gross but its AWESOME!
Peachy Pork Roast is good and easy:
1 large pork roast
1 jar peach preserves
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon mustard
Place pork roast in a slow cooker. Blend together peach preserves, brown sugar, and mustard. Pour over the roast and cook for 6-8 hours on Low, 4-6 hours on High.
Serve with mashed potatoes and broccoli in cheese sauce for a filling, delicious meal!
