How destructive is it to allow the laypersons to impose faulty political realities?For example; letting them go on believing that a national budget is like a family budget, or instance.

    In a family budget you can’t spend more money than you have without borrowing. In a national budget you can’t spend more money than you have without borrowing. When you borrow you have to pay back. When you borrow too much you are bankrupt. Maybe I’m guilty of faulty realities. Please explain.

    The federal government still has to pay back the money.

  2. I don’t understand how that is imposing a faulty political reality. I’m sure that it happens, but I think the example you give isn’t very good.
